One pear, two banannas, three carrots, go!

Well, Devlin has been on real foods for several weeks. He has had avocado, carrots, bananna, pear, apricot, and a little bit of sweet potato. He seems to enjoy the change from milk to real food. At least for me, it's been nice to have somewhat of a break. Yes, while breastfeeding is an amazing experience, it has not been easy. Being the sole object of food is demanding on one phsyically and mentally. Day or night, you have to be ready to lift your shirt. No longer can you sleep bra-less or just wear a normal bra. No longer can you just sit and read a book or even clean the house, because if you're not nursing, you're pumping. Yesterday, when my husband asked, "Are you going to pump?" I replied "Are we going to..." You can fill in the rest of that sentence. I flat out told him, almost 85% of our conversations were about nursing related topics. I told him it'd be nice if our conversations were about other things for a change! So far, so good. But with Devlin teething (not sure, but almost sure), nursing is now more of a challenge then ever. Biting and chomping to relieve his sore gums, my poor girls feel, well, as sore.

Well, with Devlin teething that also means other milestones are on their way. Crawling :) I'm guessing it will be only a matter or a month or so!
